Frequently asked

The basics
Is ZeroShade ready for real money?
No. The hosted app is a simulation and no independent audit has been verified. Do not use it with real funds.
What is the demo?
A browser page that simulates wallet setup, balances, routing and payments in memory. It has no connection to real funds, and refreshing resets it.
Does the demo hide my IP address?
No. The demo does not hide your real IP address.
What is the hosted API?
A separately hosted public API for signed handle registration, payment links, report shares, verification, screening and a waitlist.
Data and privacy
What does the hosted API store?
Public handle-owner and address mappings, one-time recipient addresses and their usage, payment link amounts, destinations, status and reference, shared signed report payloads, and a hash of the waitlist email.
Are my private keys stored?
Wallet private keys and seed phrases are not in the hosted database.
Are signed reports encrypted?
No. A signature proves the payload was not changed and that whoever signed it controls the signing key. It does not verify a real-world identity and it does not hide the contents.
Does hashing my email make it anonymous?
No. A hash is not anonymization. Someone who can guess your email can hash the guess and compare.
Is privacy guaranteed?
No. Privacy is strong in intent, not absolute. See the Security page.
Reports and resources
How do I report a vulnerability?
Do not post details publicly. Ask for a private channel through the official X account, @UseZeroshade. See the Bug bounty page.
Is there a bug bounty reward?
No funded reward is confirmed.
Where can I get the logo?
On the Brand kit page.
